FORT WAYNE, IN–March 2, 2010–A team of four from KMF are departing for Haiti today, and will be in-country tomorrow morning. They will remain in Haiti for one week.

The team's primary purpose is to film a documentary about the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Haiti. This project has been planned by KMF for some time, but plans are being accelerated in light of the recent earthquake and present media attention on the desperate needs of the people of Haiti. Secondarily the team will consult with the leadership of the ELCH in several districts concerning how best to assist the Church in light of the earthquake and growing humanitarian crisis.

The team plans on visiting Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Cap Haitien, Les Cayes, Ouanaminthe, and Thomasique, and other areas if there is opportunity. Please pray for the team's safety,
