I. In order to make a donation using this Web site, you must provide certain Information (such as name, physical address and email address). We use this Information to provide you with a physical receipt of your tax-deductable donation for use in preparation of your tax return. In addition, we may retain this Information in order to provide you with occassional communications concerning the status of the fund, distributions made by the fund, and other matters that may be of interest to those who have donated to the fund in the past. Any such Information collected by the Marquart Fund is the sole property of The Marquart Fund. The Marquart Fund will not share such Information with any third party, for any purpose, except to third-party contractors or volunteers who receive such information for the purposes set forth above, and agree to maintain such Information as confidential. Information that is not individually identifiable, such as aggregate results of fundraising efforts, may be used by The Marquart Fund for any purposes it deems appropriate.
II. This web site gives site users opportunities to make a tax-deductible charitable donation. These donations are collected and adminstered by Paypal, Inc., a third-party payment processor. The Information that you share with Paypal in the process of transacting your donation on their web site, including financial information that may include bank account information, Credit account information, and other information that is personally or financially sensitive, is managed according to the privacy policy that is promulgated by Paypal. The Marquart Fund has no control over Paypal, its privacy policy, or how it maintains the information that you provide to it. Although The Marquart Fund believes that Paypal is a secure payment processor and employs adequate systems and methods of security in the transmission, storage, and use of information that our donor provide to it, The Marquart Fund does not have control over Paypal or such transmission, storage and use, and therefore expressly disclaims all warranties concerning Paypal's handling of the Information.
III. We do and may in the future maintain a database of past and potential donors for purposes of internal analysis and promotion of the fund. We reserve the right to augment that database with information that you provide to us. Such database is Information as defined in I., above, and is used only according to the provisions of that paragraph.
IV. As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.
V. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site to track your session.
